Corn Poppy

Corn Poppy is commonly known as the common poppy, Flanders Poppy, or American Legion Poppy. It is commonly red but does come in other colors. It is an annual flower but many think it is perineal due to the fact that it re-seeds itself. Going back to the Egyptian years, the poppy has been a symbol of remembrance. During and After the World Wars, the poppy would grow up in the fields where the dead laid.
